The Birthday Club is a new PTA program that helps bring an aspect of tzedakah to your child’s birthday celebration. When your child participates in the Birthday Club, his or her friends have the option to contribute to one gift card instead of giving multiple smaller gifts. Your child will receive 90% of the value contributed to choose one large gift, or a few smaller gifts - the choice is theirs (and yours), and 10% of the money collected will be donated to Hillel Torah in honor of your child's birthday.
How It Works for the Birthday Child
When you send an invitation to your child’s party, indicate that your child is a member of the Birthday Club, fill out the form below and select your child’s preferred gift card - Amazon, Target or Barnes & Noble. Your child will receive a gift card approximately one week after his or her party, including the names of friends who participated, as well as a special certificate acknowledging their mitzvah and donation to their school.
How It Works for Gift Givers
Using the form below, let us know that you would like to contribute to a student’s birthday club account. You can make an online payment of $10 (plus 60 cents for processing), or send a check for any other amount to the Hillel Torah office. Anyone can give a gift, not just Hillel Torah families.
