The Hillel Torah Student Council helps promote school spirit and leadership among students.
Participants are expected to maintain a high standard of behavior and academic achievement. Members demonstrate leadership qualities by serving as good examples of behavior through their words and actions. In addition to promoting a positive school spirit and maintaining lines of communication between students and staff, the Student Council raises funds for school-wide activities and projects.
Representatives are elected by their peers in each grade level; 1st through 8th. The Leadership Team is elected during a school-wide Election Day held in the fall. Student Council Leaders present a speech outlining their goals to the student body prior to Election Day.
The Leadership Team includes an 8th grade president, 7th grade vice president, 6th grade treasurer and 5th grade recording secretary. Council members also act as the Kindergarten liaison, informing our youngest students and their teachers about upcoming events and programs.
Participating in Student Council helps our students become responsible, active leaders in the Hillel Torah community.
