Introducing Our New “Am Echad” Mosaic!

Our new mosaic has been installed and it is absolutely beautiful!

Am Echad is a 4×16-foot glass mosaic created by Hillel Torah parent and artist Hila Geller, with the help of HT students, parents, and community members, and with the gracious support of the Schreiber family.

Inspired by the idea that countless small pieces can come together to create something strong and whole, the piece reflects the beauty and power of unity.

Made entirely of glass, it shines as a tribute to the Jewish community and the people of Israel. Each broken fragment symbolizes an act of resilience and courage from the past two years, joining together to form a luminous testament to strength, hope, and solidarity.

This project began in November 2023, when our community gathered for an Israel Solidarity Program of chesed and advocacy. As part of the program, and guided by Hila’s creative vision, Hillel Torah students, parents, and community members placed the first pieces of what would become this beautiful mosaic. Building on that meaningful start, Hila brought the project to life and completed the work.

Hila is a designer and artist whose work blends craftsmanship, beauty, and meaning. She is the founder of the womenswear label STAM and also creates commissioned Judaica and textile-based art that brings beauty, design, and purpose to life.
