Hannah Kowitt

Dean of Student Life, Middle School

Mrs. Hannah Kowitt works with students, teachers, and families to foster a positive, respectful, and connected community. She holds a BA in Humanities and Jewish Studies from Maimonides College, a Master of Arts in Teaching from North Park University, and a Master of Education in School Administration and Supervision from Loyola University, along with an ISBE professional educator license with endorsements in elementary and middle school education and K–12 administration.

Before becoming dean, Hannah held several leadership roles at Hillel Torah and has also served as an adjunct professor at North Park University, supporting the development of future educators. With over 20 years of teaching experience in grades 4–8, mentoring teachers, and coordinating schoolwide programs, she is dedicated to helping students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Known for her calm leadership and collaborative style, Hannah strives to create a middle school experience where every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Chicago Blackhawks and White Sox.
