student life
Where Learning Goes Beyond Academics
At Hillel Torah, student life is dynamic and engaging, offering meaningful opportunities to extend learning beyond the classroom and connect with peers. From athletics to chesed to the arts, students develop their talents, explore new interests, and express their creativity.

Physical Education
& Athletics
Whether on the court or field, our physical education program fosters teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship, and promotes physical health and well-being. In addition to our physical education classes during the school day, students can participate in a range of sports, including competitive middle school basketball, cross-country, and flag football teams, and after-school age-appropriate multi-sports classes. Win or lose, every game builds confidence, connection, and school spirit.
Visual & Performing Arts
Anyone who has walked our halls can see that art and expression are an integral part of our everyday. Creativity comes to life in our art studio, where students explore various media and techniques, and learn art history and appreciation in weekly art classes. Taught by a professional artist, our after-school musical theatre program encourages our young performers to develop their acting skills, stage presence, and confidence while learning fundamental musical theatre choreography.

Special Programs
Chesed
The Emuna Shir Weiss z”l Chesed Program gives every Hillel Torah student the opportunity to engage in chesed throughout the year. From organizing tzedaka campaigns and visiting the elderly to building connections with individuals with special needs, and participating in Family Chesed Day students experience the power of giving in hands-on, in heartfelt ways.
Assemblies & Student Events
School life is full of energy and ruach! Engaging assemblies around chagim and special learning milestones, and spirited theme days bring our community together in joyful and meaningful ways. Whether it’s class performances or leadership opportunities such as our student-led Ruach Action Committee, students feel empowered to lead, create, and connect.
Middle School Clubs
Twice a week, middle school students participate in Choice Time, an opportunity to explore enrichment activities that match their interests or spark new passions. Options include Art, Sports, STEM, Study Hall, Debate Club, and Yearbook. Middle school students also have a wide range of special lunch-time learning opportunities, including Stock Market Club and weekly Lunch N’ Learns.
After School Enrichment
Our after-school programs give students even more ways to explore their interests, connect with like-minded peers, express their creativity, and have fun. Students can choose from a wide range of activities, including Art Club, Chess, Robotics, Coding, 3D Printing, Musical Theatre, Sports, and more!
