“As new parents, we were hesitant to approach the school asking for assistance. We were nervous and embarrassed not to be able to afford things from the get-go. The process was seamless and Mr. Shandalov made us feel respected and valued the entire time. We were relieved and grateful we can offer our children an HT education within our means.”

At Hillel Torah, we believe that a Jewish Education is a vital and worthwhile investment in our Jewish future. Maintaining our heritage, fostering a love for the Land of Israel and passing on Torah values to our children cannot be accomplished without a quality Jewish Day School education.

We are also aware that for many parents, tuition is higher than can be met reasonably. For that reason, we urge parents who feel that the tuition is beyond their means not to hesitate to apply for financial assistance. In these challenging times, Hillel Torah deeply believes that financial aid is an essential expression of our values and critical for our families whose circumstances require such assistance. Our process is private and confidential and we are here to help you through the process.

FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment will be conducting the financial need analysis for Hillel Torah for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. Families applying for financial aid will need to complete an application and submit the necessary supporting documentation to FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment.

Once an online application has been completed, the following information will need to be sent to FACTS to complete the application process:

  • Copies of your 2017 W-2 forms for both you and your spouse
  • Copies of supporting documentation for Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and TANF
  • All supporting documentation can be uploaded in pdf format online

Bernard Heerey Family Foundation

The Bernard Heerey Family Foundation was established to make a day school education more affordable for middle-income families who have more than one child enrolled at Hillel Torah Day School.

To be eligible for their scholarship, families must:

  1. Qualify for Financial Assistance through the FACTS Scholarship service
  2. Have at least two children attending Hillel Torah in grades 1-7
  3. Pay at least one full tuition ($17,995 for the 2018-2019 school year)
Meeting the above criteria will not automatically assure a family will receive a Heerey Scholarship as that will be determined, based on specific need, by the Scholarship committee. You will be notified along with your Financial Aid letter if you have been awarded a Heerey Scholarship.

Eligible students will be entitled to a $5,500 tuition grant (amount subject to change).

Should you have any questions, please contact Dov Shandalov at dov.shandalov@hilleltorah.org.
